Credit Card Debt Relief

There are a number of ways to get credit card debt relief these days. Here are some suggestions from us.

You Have Options!
In the past, the only way to get out of debt was to file for bankruptcy. But that meant your credit report would be marred for the next 7-10 years. However, there are so many good credit card debt relief programs out there today that Congress passed a law requiring anyone who's filing for bankruptcy to go through a credit card debt relief program first. That's quite a ringing endorsement, wouldn't you say? Doesn't it make you feel better about credit card debt relief programs?

If you don't want to enroll in an "official"credit card debt reduction program, you can try transferring your credit card balances to a low interest rate card. Better yet--find one with a 0% introductory rate, no annual fee and no balance transfer fee. And the longer the introductory rate, the better, because if you can get your debt paid off during that introductory rate, you've just saved yourself a ton of money! Not to mention reducing the amount of time you'll spend paying off your credit card debt!

If transferring balances doesn't work for you, consider one of the following debt management programs:

 Debt settlement
 Debt consolidation
 Debt consolidation loans
 Debt consolidation mortgages

Most of these credit card debt help programs will have you out of debt in about five years. To figure out which of these programs will work best for you, you'll need to contact a debt management company.
